Early Childhood Program

Ages 4-5 No prior dance experience necessary.

Tuition-free Early Childhood Ballet offered at partner locations in Orleans Parish.

Registration is closed for Spring 2024 Semester classes, with the exception of classes offered at the Desire / Florida Rec Center.

Registration will open April 19 for June Twilight Dance Classes.

*Start and end dates vary per location & class. Students must be the required age by December 1, 2023, to enroll.

Ages 6-18 No prior dance experience necessary.

Tuition-Free classes in ballet, jazz, and hip hop.

Led by NOBA local and visiting master faculty – Spring 2024 guest faculty includes former Dance theatre of Harlem stars Vince Collins and Donald Williams!

Fridays • 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

*No classes on March 8 or March 29.

Pre-Professional Program

Ages 7-18 By Audition/Invitation Only

Auditions for the 2024-2025 Academic Year Pre-Professional Program will take place August 15 – 17 (details coming soon!).

This tuition-free program provides motivated, talented students ages 7 to 18 with intensive instruction in ballet, pointe, modern and repertoire, plus workshops in other dance forms such as hip hop, jazz and West African dance, and unprecedented opportunities to study and even perform with world-renowned artists through the Master Artist Series. Classes are held weekly between September 9, 2023 – May 19, 2024, at NORD partner locations throughout the New Orleans area as well as Tulane University’s McWilliams Hall, depending on track/level. Accepted students also perform in NOBA’s exciting annual productions of The Nutcracker Suite and Spring Concert Evening of Dance. Teaching faculty includes highly qualified local instructors, and select students will receive training with NOBA Master Artists in Residence such as former Dance Theatre of Harlem stars Christina Johnson, Vince Collins, and Donald Williams, among others. Students are also offered unique opportunities such as special master classes with NOBA Main Stage artists, performances on local and national stages, and deeply discounted tickets to NOBA Main Stage performances.
