NOBA Needs Your Support!

The New Orleans Ballet Association | NOBA fulfills a vital role in the international dance community by presenting some of the very best artists in the world, commissioning new works, and providing resources to the community. Through our nationally recognized, award-winning education programs, NOBA reaches thousands of participants ages 3-80+ each year with more than 5,500 tuition-free classes and activities throughout the region. In fact, more than 95% of all that NOBA provides – whether on the stage, in a community center, or in a school – is free to the community, creating unprecedented accessibility and exposure to the art form. In 1992, NOBA’s lead partnership with the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORD) established the Center for Dance (CFD), a nationally renowned cultural community partnership, and has since further made the healing art of dance and movement accessible to underserved families by establishing additional partnerships and relationships throughout the Greater New Orleans area, e.g. Tulane and Dillard Universities, Arc of Greater New Orleans, NOCCA, Broadmoor Improvement District, and area school systems. This unique public-private partnership has provided more than $6 million of tuition-free dance and wellness programs to directly serve 23,000+ participants of all ages and abilities in our community through tuition-free classes/activities. Ticket sales for Main Stage productions covers less than one-third of NOBA’s programming costs. The remaining funds needed are contributed by generous individuals like you, corporations, foundations, and governmental agencies.

Please help us continue our work and efforts to make sure that dance remains a vital part of the cultural fabric of this great city!
