We thank you for your past support and investment that has enabled NOBA to continue to serve our community through the presentation of world renowned dance companies and the more than 2,500 free dance classes and workshops for our youth and families. Because of these activities, NOBA is recognized as one of the country’s premiere dance presenting organizations, while garnering awards for the comprehensive education programs along the way.
In 2007, NOBA:
• Sold out the Main Stage Season
• Launched the first national tour of local dancers and students
• Celebrated the 15th anniversary of the NORD/NOBA Center For Dance
• Employed 22 New Orleans artists
• Grew the after school dance program back to 9 citywide sites in 3 parishes
• Collected and distributed more than $250,000 in donated dance supplies to 800 youth and artists in the Gulf South region
• Reached 7,000 youth through in-school and after-school programs
• Conducted more than 2,500 activities for the community, over 90 % of which were free!
In order to continue “bringing dance to life,” we need your renewed support! Less than 40% of programming costs are covered by ticket revenue, so we work year-round to secure donations from corporations, foundations, and government sources. Our most sustaining contributions, however, come from individuals like you. We know you receive many requests, but your tax-deductible contribution will enable NOBA to continue its mission to bring dance to our community – on the stage, and into the schools, community centers, dance studios, and more.

will sponsor study guides for one school prior to a performance
$50 will sponsor a field trip for 10 children to view a student performance
$100 will sponsor one child for the summer intensive camp for four weeks.
$250 will sponsor one week of classes for 45-60 children at a community center.
$500 will sponsor one workshop or class with a guest company at a center or school.
$1000will sponsor a one semester internship for a student age 16-18 to gain job skills in dance.
$2500 will sponsor one week residency with a guest artist residency to set a new work on our students and professional artists.
