The NORDC/NOBA Center For Dance proudly kicks off its 20th Anniversary with two spectacular performances featuring more than 400 students from nine neighborhood centers! Dancers ages 6-70+ from the youth and senior citizen programs will celebrate a partnership that has provided over 35,000 free dance classes to 10,000 participants since its inception in 1992.

General admission tickets are available to the public for $5 beginning May 16. Tickets may be purchased by phone using a credit card with a $2 service fee per order, or in person at the NOBA Box Office (935 Gravier Street, Suite 800, New Orleans, LA 70112) with cash only.


Free Dance Classes
All classes are free.
Youth classes are open to children ages 6-18*.
*Students must turn 6 by June 30, 2012, and be no older than 18 and a senior in high school to enroll in summer youth classes.
Classes are open to any child; however, you MUST submit copies of income and residency documentation (pay stub, etc.).
A copy of a birth certificate must be submitted for students between the ages of 6 and 7.
Income and residency information is used to help fund after-school dance programs.

ANNUNCIATION NORDC CENTER (Ballet)

Registration for summer classes is on Thursday, June 7, from 5-7pm.
Youth classes are Tuesday and Thursday between 4:15-7:15 pm.
Adult classes are offered on Fridays from 6:00-7:15 pm.

BEHRMAN NORDC CENTER (Ballet)
2529 General Meyer Avenue (Algiers)
Registration for summer classes is on Tuesday, June 5, from 5-7pm.
Youth ballet classes are Tuesday and Thursday between 4:30–8:30pm.
Senior fitness classes are Monday and Wednesday between 9:30-11:30am.

CUT OFF NORDC CENTER (Ballet/Tap)
6600 Belgrade Street (Westbank)
Registration for summer classes is on Wednesday, June 6, from 5-7pm.
Youth tap classes are Monday between 5-7 pm.
Youth ballet classes are Wednesday between 5-7 pm.
Teen/Adult tap classes are Monday between 7-8 pm.

LIGHT CITY CHURCH (Ballet)

Registration for summer classes is on Monday, June 4, from 5-7pm.
Youth classes are Mondays from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

ST. BERNARD NORDC CENTER (Ballet/Tap)
1500 Lafreniere Street (Gentilly)
Registration for summer classes is on Monday, June 4, from 5-7.
Youth Ballet classes are Monday between 4-7pm.
Youth Tap classes are Wednesday between 5-8 pm.
Senior Fitness classes are Tuesday and Thursday between 9:30-11:30am.

WILSON CHARTER SCHOOL (Ballet)

Registration for summer classes is on Wednesday, June 6, from 5-7pm.
Classes are Wednesdays between 5-7pm

ST. BENILDE SCHOOL (Ballet)

No summer classes are offered at this location.
Classes are Tuesday and Thursday between 4:30-6:30pm.

ST. JEROME CHURCH (Ballet)
2402 33rd Street (Kenner)
No summer classes are currently offered at this location.
Classes are Monday and Thursday between 5-7pm.

CHALMETTE HIGH CULTURAL ARTS CENTER (Ballet)
1100 E. Judge Perez Drive(Chalmette)
No summer classes are currently offered at this location.
Classes are Monday and Wednesday between 5-7pm.


Youth Classes are open to any child ages 6-18 (see above for details).
Classes are first come first served.
Class times vary depending on the student's age and level of placement.
