From the BRAVO President As I enter my second term as president I remain energized and devoted to the support and success of this dynamic organization, and I am very excited about the opportunity and events for this season.
Building upon the fantastic successes of last season, we invite each of you to take that next step in supporting NOBA by joining BRAVO. By doing so, you’ll be joining an incredibly dedicated group of volunteers who is committed to fund raising for not only these marvelous evenings of dance, but also a host of vital programs affecting thousands of people across our community. With BRAVO’s determination and support, NOBA’s education programs continue to rebuild and grow, now providing thousands of young people with 2,500 dance classes and activities in three parishes. These classes are tuition-free and for many of these students, their only access to quality dance training and experiences. Also, we are proud to have been a part of the prestigious invitation for the NORD/NOBA Center For Dance Company to perform at the annual Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina.
BRAVO is deeply committed to continuing the support of such programs, and we have enjoyed the privilege of doing so. We have a wonderful year of BRAVO activities planned that are not only fun-filled but will benefit NOBA. Our General Meetings will be held at lovely area homes throughout the year. For the first time since 1983 we have the pleasure of the long-awaited return of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo on January 29, 2010. Don’t miss this performance as well as the exciting event we have planned to follow, chaired by Chet Pourciau and Eric Hess. On April 17, 2010, NOBA will celebrate its 40th Anniversary with a star-studded gala event featuring performances by some of the world’s most distinguished dancers. This Gala des Etoiles performance will be followed by the BRAVO Ballet Ball. We are again extremely honored to be the beneficiary of the Men and Women of Fashion Prix d’Elegance luncheon chaired by Jacquee Carvin and Teresa Guzzetta next spring.
Our membership is our strength. Thank you for your continued support. Please join today! Memberships are $35 (single), $50 (couple) or $100 (supporting member) and can be purchased at the NOBA table during intermission.
We look forward to working with each of you!
Sincerely,
Deborah Alciatore
